what’s up friends? it’s been a while but i’ve been mega swamped with work (cue usual excuses) and, on a more interesting note, it was thanksgiving here in canada over the weekend and i was too busy eating 12 pounds of turkey and baking pumpkin pie. that’s right people. baking. sadly, you’ll have to wait for the october photo diary to see pics of my adventure. baking is not easy, and i am definitely too much of a whiner to really get into it full time – i’m having enough trouble learning to make soup (my new obsession, as you’ll see below).
so, in other news, a couple weeks ago, my friend e.steria sent me a link to a call for news writers from the one and only, beatport. on a whim, i applied thinking that a snob montrealer with a local blog didn’t stand a chance against what i can only assume was tough competition. much to my shock, i got the job! pretty exciting stuff as beatport is one of the biggest names in the online music sharing community – but the best part is what a crazy learning experience this will be! be on the lookout for some new digs over at beatport in the coming weeks, but i’ll keep you posted right here.
flick through my adventures this past month right here. highlights include my weekend at pop montreal featuring the ladies of motel raphael, the last bits of summer in verdun, new purchases from my infatuation site, black milk, and a behind the scenes look at littlecity.
